Scomis currently holds accreditation status with Capita for the support of SIMS software.  To achieve accreditation, a team must satisfy a stringent set of quality-based requirements.  Every school in the team’s operating area is then surveyed to ensure that the team is providing a quality, value-for-money service.  Accreditation runs for two years and we are pleased to report that this year Scomis has, once again achieved re-accreditation. We are delighted to announce that Scomis has been awarded an ISO 27001 : 2013 certification throughout its data centre and its services to schools, this is an international standard for data and information security.

Some Scomis staff are Apple Certified Support Professionals (ACSP) which verifies an understanding of Mac OS X core functionality and an ability to configure key services, perform basic troubleshooting, and support multiple users with essential Mac OS X capabilities

Some Scomis staff are Apple Certified Technical Coordinators (ACTC). This certification builds on ACSP, and verifies a foundation in Mac OS X and Mac OS X Server core functionality and an ability to configure key services and perform basic troubleshooting on Mac OS X and Mac OS X Server.

Scomis achieved accreditation with the Customer Service Excellence program in July 2016. Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) – All Scomis staff have enhanced DBS checks carried out regularly.

Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) – Scomis staff have achieved ITIL Foundation V3 Certificate in IT Service Management.
