The Autumn School Census 2025 is today, and the DfE return date is on the 29th October.
We have put together an FAQ with all the guidance, documentation and information that you need to be prepared.

Devon County Council has published an update on upcoming changes to schools’ ledger and item codes, following the move to a new financial system. Maintained schools are invited to give their preference on when these changes should take place — April 2026 or April 2027 — by completing the short survey by 3 October 2025. We are pleased to announce the introduction of our new DfE Compliant 3-2-1 backup service ScoBackup.
The DfE 3-2-1 standard is a best practice guideline for data backup, which recommends having three copies of your data, stored on two different types of media, with one copy stored off-site. This approach ensures that your data is secure, resilient, and easily recoverable in the event of any unforeseen circumstances.
