This course is suitable for Data Managers/Curriculum Managers who have the responsibility for making effective use of SIMS to manage the curriculum membership of students once the timetable has been transferred into SIMS.

The course covers dealing with Admissions including the creation of pre-admission groups and importing data from the LA via ATF & CTF

Behaviour Management in SIMS - Online learning

Behaviour Management in SIMS is used to help record, monitor and manage the behaviour within your school. It is separated into Behaviour Incidents and Achievements.

Course manager with post-16 learning aims - Tutor led training

This course is suitable for data managers in schools with sixth forms who have responsibility for preparing and producing the post-16 elements for the autumn census. The course is split between Maintaining Course Manager in SIMS in the morning with an afternoon session for schools with a post-16 provision.

Cover 7 - Online learning

Cover 7 is integrated in SIMS.net and reads information from P7 and T6. It allows the user to manage and understand how to set up, customise and implement Cover to manage all aspects of classroom staff and room unavailability. Explore the dynamic links of the module to other areas of SIMS. Review the classroom staff absence and cover statistics. Analyse the impact of absent classroom staff on students.

Dinner Money - Online learning

This course is an introduction to using SIMS for recording Dinner and Dinner Money information. For any courses on the Digital Learning Site – ScoLearn, you do not need to make a booking, you just need to create an account to get started.

This course is suitable for existing and current exams officer who wish to make use of SIMS Exams Organiser to manage internal examinations eg mock examinations.

End of Year Procedures - Primary - Online learning

This course describes the steps that should be followed to enable a successful transition from one academic year to another. It includes the creation of a new academic year, setting up next year’s registration groups and year groups, etc. together with the promotion of pupils from one year into the next.
