Hello and welcome to the Scomis Newsletter! In this week’s edition we have Cyber Security, Bromcom Webinars for Devon maintained schools, Continuous Service Improvement, May 2025 Additional Bromcom Training, and Summer Census Preparation
Cyber Security
Remember Cyber Security is an extremely important consideration for the Senior Management Team, Governing bodies and Trustees of Academies and Multi Academy Trusts.
Having a robust Network security will prevent loss of vital data, accidental damage, and malicious activity (cyber-attacks).
Review the DfE’s guidance: Meeting digital and technology standards in schools and colleges.
Cyber incidents and attacks have significant operational and financial impacts on schools and colleges.
Consider completion of the National Cyber Security Centre’s training for schools.
Or contact Scomis for impartial and objective advice on:
• Infrastructure Services
• Network Solutions and Services
• Remote Back-up
For help with all of this you could consider signing up to our ScoTech service, which you can find out about here.

We’ve just given our Customer Service Standards, Consultation & Engagement Strategy, and Customer Feedback Policy their annual review. These documents were initially developed in close consultation with our customer user groups a few years back.
What’s Changed?
Just a few minor updates to keep things fresh and relevant. The principles of our policies remain the same.
