FMS for New Users (Part 2) General Income, Petty Cash and Payment Processing – Tutor Led Training

SIMS Financial Management System (FMS) covers the full range of accounting functions required by schools, whether they run their own accounts locally or have their finances managed centrally by their Local Authority. A PC with a camera and a headset with a microphone are required for all our training courses.

This course includes recording income, using Petty Cash, processing payments (cheques & BACS) and recording debit and charge card payments. 

The course is aimed at those new to FMS –  Bursars, Business Managers, Administrative Staff and Finance Directors 

 Course Content 

  • How to record income onto the system, produce receipts and pay the income into a bank account. 
  • How to record cash book journals for income paid into a bank account. 
  • How to process petty cash transactions and reimburse the petty cash system. 
  • Cheque and BACS processing. 
  • Payment by debit card. 
  • Payment by charge card.
