Producing the School Census - Secondary - Online learning

The School Census Return is required to be completed by maintained Nursery schools, Primary schools, Secondary schools, All Through schools, Special schools, Pupil Referral Units (PRUs), and Academies in England.

The School Workforce Census Return is required to be run by English schools in the maintained sector. These include Community, Foundation, Voluntary Aided and Voluntary Controlled schools, Academies, Free Schools and Pupil Referral Units.

Reporting from Personnel - Online learning

The course covers producing reports based on staff data in SIMS Personnel. It includes running and previewing existing reports and designing and editing reports, including word lists, mail merge letters and labels, rich text format (RTF) and Analysis Reports.

School Census Primary- Tutor led training

This course is suitable for Administrators and Data Managers in Primary and Special School settings who are new or in need of support to prepare for the termly School Census.

This course supports schools in following the code of practice for the identification and assessment of pupil/students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

A school’s management information system (MIS) holds a vast amount of data, which if accurately maintained can be used to inform school improvement strategies and guide a wide range of school management activities including processing statutory returns.
